A brief biography of Jose Fernandes

Qualifications

Singing:          Had vocal training for 6 years at the Academy of Music (India)
Guitar:             Achieved grade 4
Experience:   42 years of Singing and Entertaining

As A Singer/ Entertainer

Started my career as an opera singer and singing in musicals.
Later on sang in one of the popular bands in Mumbai singing at various venues and 5 Star Hotels.
Migrated to Australia in 1973 and sang as a frontman for various bands and in residency bands at Stamford, Bien Venu, Palm Courts and Tudor Court.
Entertained as One-Man Band, Two-Man Band as well as 10 piece band for weddings, socials, and parties.

Music is my passion, I come from a family of Classical Music.
I play the Piano, Organ, Drums, Violin.
I demand 100% from my students to get the best out of them.

As a Teacher (Teaching for 10 years)

• Guitar lessons for beginners
• Teach singing (all types of music from Semi-classics to modern)
• Teach and conduct choir and at present been the choir master at St Gregory The Great –Doncaster since 1992
